The Lucile: Faux Bamboo Mirror

Sale price Price Sold Out Unit price  per

French faux bamboo mirrors first gained popularity in the 19th century, inspired by Europe’s fascination with the Far East. Though crafted in wood, these mirrors were designed to mimic the look of bamboo—and quickly became beloved staples in French maisons and manoirs, often gracing walls above dressers, tucked into narrow hallways, or hanging beside linen-draped beds.

We found The Lucile just outside Saint-Émilion, resting quietly against a plaster wall—her patina glowing softly in the late afternoon light.

The Lucile is a tribute to that feeling—warm, gentle, and full of quiet romance.

Dimensions:22.5"x18"

Please note: Minor chips and surface patina are present from years of use, and should be appreciated as part of the piece’s character and charm.
