The Léonie - 19th Century Tapestry
Sale price Price Sold Out Unit price per
Woven in muted shades of brown and beige, The Léonie carries the same quiet grandeur as her sister, The Delphine. We’d imagine her in a library, an entryway, or layered behind a bed—anywhere her softness and woven detail could anchor the space with understated elegance.
She was found near Avignon, alongside The Delphine, at a grand Provençal estate—likely once gracing the walls of a country château. Like her sister, her generous scale is rare; pieces of this size were typically commissioned for sprawling homes, meant to bring balance, rhythm, and stillness to expansive rooms. Today, that same grandeur lends a rich, storied feeling to any space.
Dimensions: 100" H x 70" W
Please note: Surface wear, patina, and gentle fraying at the edges—woven into her long and storied life.
