The Joséphine - Antique French Mortar

The largest in the collection, The Joséphine is a 19th-century French staple, worn smooth with time and rich with patina. We found her tucked beneath a table draped in linens, in a hidden barn off the beaten path in Provence—quietly waiting to be found. Once used to work herbs and garlic by hand, she now makes a striking catchall or sculptural accent—equally at home on a countertop or table.
